A la mode is a dessert normally served with ice cream, and it’s one of the simplest, easiest and decadent dessert that you can serve in few minutes. Sometimes, that is just what I need. Something simple, and yet elegant and deliciously satisfying. Well, anything with ice cream for me is a dessert worth waiting for.
Often time, I used brownie to make a la mode dessert, just like my Brownie A la Mode. I normally make this dessert whenever I make any of my brownie desserts or just any chocolate bar dessert. I get to enjoy few pieces of my brownie, and I get to top it with whatever ice cream I have in my freezer.
When I made my Banana Oats Bar, I already had this a la mode dessert in my mind. I saved few pieces of the Oats Bar just so I can make this dessert. What made a la mode works for me is the combination of chocolate and ice cream, they always go hand in hand together. My Banana Oats Bar has a very moist and soft texture, and loaded with melt in your mouth chocolate chips. The oats made the texture of the bar chewy, and the bits and pieces of oats gave the bar a really nice texture. The overall texture of the oats bar complements well with ice cream. I added few slices of fruit to complete the dessert. So if you are looking for a simple dessert to serve for especial occasion, or even for regular day meal, check out my Banana Oats Bar and turn it into sinfully delicious a la mode. Let’s get started!
