Explore British Columbia: When the Leaves Fall

Fall 2018 2

Fall is such a wonderful time of the year to appreciate the vibrant changing colors of the leaves. Change is inevitable, so might as well embrace it with open arms.

I stepped outside and looked at the trees
The leaves are vibrant orange, yellow, brown and red
For a moment I stopped and panicked, where is the sun, is Summer done?
I walked and walked, and saw more leaves on the ground
No sight of sun only more leaves on the ground

When the colors of the leaves started changing, and the leaves started to fall on the ground, for a moment I panicked. This always happens to me, it was always difficult to let go of Summer and I would hold on to it as long as I can. But season has to end and so welcoming each season is something that I always remind myself. Besides, Fall brings a lot of good reason to like it, sometimes I just need to remind myself.

I had been walking around and biking lately taking photos of the colorful trees and their changing colors. It’s relaxing, just me and my camera. It’s an activity that I do in almost every start of a new season. Spring for instance is the opportunity to appreciate the flowers in bloom, Cherry Blossoms and Tulip to be specific. Summer is about water and mountains, exploring the wilderness, the peaceful forest and the tranquil lakes, rivers and angry waterfalls. Winter is the chance to enjoy snow, yes, I am one of those people who get excited and happy when I see snow. Each season brings opportunity to appreciate nature in different ways. Although I do this almost every year, I never got tired of doing and exploring the same places over and over again.

The colors, they are simply amazing and mesmerizing. I cannot get enough of them. I wish these colors can stay longer, unfortunately they only last for 1 month or so, and soon all the trees will be bear, and the branches will be dry. But as I always remind myself, the end of one season is the start of a new one, and every season have something wonderful to offer. So, I’m just enjoying everyday of every season while I can.
