Thinking of what meals to prepare everyday is difficult especially if you are cooking for a family. Although I live by myself now, trust me when I say I know how it feels. Even a simple breakfast could be a nightmare if you do it everyday.
Meal in less than 15 minutes, Scrambled Egg & Tomato
This one here is an all-around dish, have it for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Simply sauté onion and garlic, add the tomato and seasonings then pour the beaten egg. Leave for 1 minute until the egg is slightly set then start mixing to break it apart. This is a quick and easy meal, anytime of the day, even for breakfast!
I had been consistently doing YouTube shorts for what meals that I eat in a day. Most of them are very easy meals that doesn’t even require a written recipe for you to be able to make it. If you watch the short video, you will have an idea how to make it, no recipe needed. They are very flexible and you can adjust and tweak it to your liking.
Turkey & Egg Croissant Sandwich
If there is a cold cuts that I buy, that would be Turkey. This is a simple turkey and egg sandwich. Start by beating 1-2 eggs, then pour in heated pan. Add the slice turkey, brie cheese or any cheese of your choice, then more turkey slices. Fold the egg then drizzle honey on top. Slice the croissant and make a sandwich of it.
I don’t normally create recipe post for them so they just sit in my YouTube channel. As I look at them, I thought why not share it with you. The videos are maximum 60 seconds only so this will not take a lot of your time, but in that short time, it will give you an idea on your meal preparation.
It’s Protein Day! Steak & Eggs
You do not see me posting meat often in my blog because I don’t eat meat quite often. I would say 1-2x a month I would indulge myself in some steak or any cut of beef. Steak and egg is my favourite way to enjoy steak for breakfast, who is with me on this?
The videos are mostly single serving dish but you can easily scale it up. Use the video as a guide and do as many as you wish. A lot of these meals require cooking more than baking so it is more forgiving. You can easily change it up to your liking.
Fresh Fruits, Veggie & Eggs for a Simple Breakfast
How about a nice platter of veggie and fruits for snack? Quickest way for me is to make this fruits, veggie and egg platter. 2 soft boiled eggs, tomato, strawberry and kiwi.
I will not be detailing the instructions for this meals. They are really very easy. Simply watch the video and the video will show you how to make it. If there are any special instructions, I’ll mention it but otherwise this is not going to be like my usual recipe post complete with ingredients list and instructions.
Lazy Egg and Jam Toast for Breakfast
I made this lazy breakfast on my first day in Halifax. Jetlag and not much supplies in the fridge, I made a simple toast with jam and egg. Thanks to the airbnb host for leaving few breakfast staples in the fridge for me to consume. Totally no reason to skip breakfast.
