[VIDEO] Explore British Columbia – Vancouver: It’s Raining PINK in Vancouver with Cherry Blossoms

Spring in Vancouver

Hi there and welcome to Spring in Vancouver. I created a short video of my Cherry Blossoms walk one sunny weekend and that is what I want to share with you. It’s a 2 minutes video, I hope you’ll like it. Let me know what you think. If you like it, kindly share or re-post the video and I hope you will support my You Tube channel “SweetNSpicyLiving” by subscribing to it. Thanks and ENJOY 🙂

Season change is marked with a sudden or slight change of temperature. Aside from that, a change in the surrounding is also one indication of the season switching from one to another. Temperature starts to drop when winter is coming, and snow falling on the ground definitely shouts it’s winter.

Spring on the other hand is in the air when the temperature gets milder (at least in Vancouver) and the flowers like Tulips starts to come out of the ground. But one big indication that spring is really here, are the visibility of Cherry Blossoms in the street and parks. Those beautiful pink flowers like cotton candy never failed to make me stop whenever I see them.

The first time I saw it, I was totally mesmerized by it, I still remember standing under the tree looking up and touching those delicate pretty flowers, and yes and I took so much photos. It’s been several years now since I moved to Canada, but every time Spring comes, it feels like I’m seeing Cherry Blossom and Tulips the first time again, I’m still awed by the beauty of these flowers.

There are quite a lot of places where you can see clusters of Cherry Blossom trees in Vancouver, some of them are just right around the corner. I can see them from our office window, and there’s one along the train station close to my office, some in the Stanley Park and others are just along the way on my way to work. I didn’t have to travel far to see them, and I am thankful for that. Simple pleasures of life that sometimes we tend to take for granted because they are just around us. I always remind myself how lucky I am even with just being able to see and experience simple things like that. Other people will have to travel just to see it and experience it, in my case it’s just right before my eyes.

I wish they could stay a little bit longer, but sadly they don’t last for too long. Maybe 3 – 4 weeks, and they’re gone. When I went for a walk last Friday, they were just starting to blossom, and overnight they came full bloom! I had to go out Saturday to see them at its peak and these photos are what I captured. It seems it’s not just me who admire Cherry Blossom as there were people taking photos of them too. I can’t blame them, who wouldn’t be charmed by these beautiful flowers?

In Vancouver, there is a Cherry Blossom Walk that guide people across the city to places where there is abundance of Cherry Blossom. I haven’t join it, although I had been meaning to every year. I guess I prefer to explore the city on my own, to set my own pace and to go wherever my foot takes me. But I am not closing the idea, I might do it someday and when I do, you will definitely know it.
