Mothers Day is soon approaching, however we choose to celebrate it I hope we can find time to make a homemade cake for our Mom because our Mom deserves the best, and what could be better than a cake that you made yourself from scratch? I know it’s so easy to go to a cafe to order and pick a cake, and it’s not even surprising the store-bought cake looks better but a homemade cake is a labor of love, and that’s is something that a store-bought cannot give us. I often remind myself of the look in my friends face whenever I gave them something that I bake myself. The look of happiness and appreciation is always worth the effort of making the cake at home. So, if you can spare sometime out of your busy schedule, maybe you can bake something for your Mom. Chiffon Cakes are light and airy cake, it’s softness in every bite. The airy fluffy texture can be attributed to whipped egg whites that are fold in the cake batter. Unlike other cake, chiffon cakes doesn’t use any fat, not too much leavening agent as it relies on the whipped egg whites for structure. Just like any other cake, you can add frosting on them or serve it as is. It’s one of those cool, cut ad serve cake and still they will taste great without any frosting.
