Friday Drinks and Frozen Day ♥♥
With the weather getting warmer and warmer everyday, I think we could all agree that we need something that will cool us off and keep us feeling refresh. Since it is Summer, I am making a seasonal post just for the Summer season and this will happen on Fridays. I am calling it Friday Drinks and Frozen Day 🙂 The post will mostly be about Summer drinks and frozen treats to keep up cool and comfy during the Summer season. If it is not Summer where you are right now, do not worry because you can always go back and search for these recipes whenever Summer arrives in your area or you are just feeling to get chilled. Some of the drinks that I am sharing here can be made any day of the year, i say bring the ice cream out on Winter 🙂
This 4 ingredients Papaya and Mango Slushie is one good way to cool off the heat of summer. It’s all fresh, natural and refreshing plus only 4 simple ingredients.
For this week Friday Drink & Frozen Treats day, I’m sharing with you a simple Papaya and Mango Slushie that will help you beat the heat. It’s thick, naturally fruity because it uses all natural fresh fruits and it is as easy as making any other smoothie. It’s basically a thick smoothie, which is almost too thick to be a regular smoothie, and so I called it slushie.
I’m loving our seasonal Friday Drink and Frozen Treat day so much it doesn’t even take any effort making it. With the Summer heat spiking up, I had been having cold tea and smoothie for breakfast, Summer wouldn’t last long and so I’m just making the most of it. Mango and Papaya are one of my favorite fruits, eaten fresh or as a drink. These two are very common in the Philippines and so being able to enjoy it here in Canada is such a wonderful treat during the Summer. As a Slushie or a smoothie, they both taste great. Mango has a very nice soft and smooth texture and same goes with Papaya. They are also both juicy and both have a very distinct flavor. The combination of this texture and flavor created a really nice thick and smooth Slushie.
What are the ingredients for Mango & Papaya Slushie?
- Frozen Ripe Mango – It is a MUST that you used a frozen Mango when making a slushie to get the thick icy consistency and texture.
- Frozen Ripe Papaya
- Sweetener – I used honey, you can use any sweetener that you like.
- Almond Milk – can be substituted with coconut milk or any dairy or non-dairy milk
How do you make Mango Papaya Slushie?
It’s pretty simple, you can have this done in less than 5 minutes! Pour the milk in the blender, followed by papaya, mango and honey. Blend until thick and smooth. Pour in a glass and Enjoy! As simple as that.

I’m loving this lovely summer weather for so many reasons and one of them is this toothy fruity slushie or smoothie if you are more familiar with that. It’s so good and so easy to make that it’s getting really dangerous for me getting close to this drink. I recently discovered that this smoothie not only kept me cool and refreshed, it also gave me the energy when I go for a run. It’s like eating fresh fruits but in liquid form. This slushie is single serve but feel free to double or even triple it. This is not a strict recipe, you can totally adjust it to your preference. I only added 2 tbsp honey but I could probably push it to 3. I say use sweet ripe Mango and Papaya so that you don’t have to use too much sweetener. Use 2 tbsp as starting point then adjust from there depending on how ripe the fruits your using.

Frozen Fruits Please
This is important so that you get the icy smooth texture without having to use extra ice because this recipe do not use ice at all. Adding ice and liquid will make the purée fruits less concentrated and we want to make this taste as much fruits as possible. For the liquid, I like to use non-dairy milk but any dairy milk will work as fine. Coconut water is a good option too, or if you really want to keep it basic, water will work too. Anyway, there’s no right it wrong here, make it to your preference and use the recipe as a guide. I had these tips summarize below.
Things To Remember:
- Use only frozen fruits
- Adjust sweetener depending on the sweetness of the fruits
- The choice of liquid to use also affects the sweetness, adjust sweetener measurement as needed
Lets get started!

Ingredients:
- 1 cup Milk or Coconut Water
- 2 Slices ripe Papaya (about 150g)
- 1/2 Mango (about 60g)
- 1 – 2 tbsp Honey (or any sweetener of your choice)
Instructions:
Pour the milk (or coconut water) in the blender. Add papaya, mango and honey. Blend until smooth. One step simple recipe. Now, go and ENJOY!

It is a sweet fruit, and it comes in small and big sizes. They are orange in color, sometimes yellowish, they are soft, plenty of seeds inside just like Cantaloupe. Delicious to even eat on its own
