Any little thing that makes life easier is very much welcome. Today I am sharing with you some of the kitchen hacks that I tried and tested. These hacks are very simple yet they make the task easier and more fun. I have 5 tips here in this post and more to come. Have a look and let me know what kitchen hack you use often, I would like to try them!

Do you love eating Strawberry but hate removing the top? Well, if you do not like using the knife to cut of. the top, use this hack then.

This hack made use of a straw to push out the green top of the Strawberry. Simply insert the straw and push until the top is release, that easy!

I do not have fresh Mango a lot but when I have them, I always use this simple cutting hack to remove the flesh.

To do this, cut the Mango on each side leaving 2 half like in the photo. Using a glass, slide the Mango starting from the edge and keep pushing until the entire flesh is released from the skin.

I came across this hack when I was leaving for a vacation and had so many Lemon left to consume. Rather than let it go bad, I did some research on how best to freeze lemon. This hack here is what I find useful and easy. Frozen lemons are neatly kept in the freezer and easily accessible to use when making iced cold drinks or even hot drinks.

The process is simple. Simply wash the lemon thoroughly and slice them to desired thickness. Arrange in parchment line tray and freeze until solid hard. Transfer in a ziplock bag and return to the freeze.

Peeling boiled egg seems to be an easy thing to do, but it doesn’t seem the case for some (or more) people. This is way there are quite a few hacks on how to peel eggs. I had tried some of them and this one is my favourite hack and the one that I used all the time. This hack works for hard boiled egg. Do not attempt to use this for soft boiled egg as the egg could split when you tap and roll it in the surface. have a look and let me know if this works for you.

The process requires you to cook the egg in fully boiling water. It has to be fully boiling before you start the 9 minutes timer. The 9 minutes will give you a nice hard boiled egg. Remove from the pan and rinse in cold water. Once manageable to touch, tap the egg on the counter and roll using your palm. You will feel the shell cracking. Peel making sure you reach the think “film” where the shell sticks. This is important as this is what will make peeling it easy.

I am pretty sure a lot of you have your own way of cutting Apple. This one here is my favourite as it seamlessly leave the core of the Apple after cutting all the four sides. It gives a clean cut for a perfect thinly sliced Apples.

To do this, simply cut the four sides and you will be left with the core. That’s easy!
