We’ve all been used to the idea of Margheriat Pizza, although I do eat pizza for breakfast, I think we can make a twist to make it breakfast option. If you are following my blog and my youtube channel, you know I love croissant for breakfast. Croissant is great for quick and delicious breakfast. This Margherita Croissant Toast can easily be made in 15 minutes or less which makes it a great quick brekfast option. It taste really good with the flakey croissant and the melting cheese on top. Not to mention the freshness of tomato and basil leaves.

Customize It

You can easily customize this and add other or more toppings. It won’t be margherita anymore, but it will be your own variation, so who cares a long as you enjoy eating it 🙂 Let me know what variation you would want to make to jazz up this breakfast croissant.

Margherita Croissant Toast

Ingredients:

  • 1 Large Croissant
  • 4 Slices of Tomato
  • 100g grated Mozarella Cheese (you can add more or less as you like)
  • Fresh Basil
  • pinch of Salt, Paprika, Red Chili Flakes & Dried Parsley

Instructions:

  1. Slice the croissant into half. Toast in the pan face down.
  2. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Arrange the slice tomato and top with fresh Basil leaves. Cover with more grated cheese. Sprinkle with salt, paprika, red chili flakes and dried parsley.
  3. Bake at pre-heated 350F for 20-30 minutes of until the cheese is melted and the croissant is lightly toasted to your liking.
  4. Serve! Dizzle balsamic vinegar on top (optional)
