When summer hits British Columbia (Canada), it’s all about sunshine, patios, and something icy in your glass. And nothing screams summer quite like watermelon—that juicy, vibrant fruit that’s basically nature’s candy. Whether you’re lounging in your backyard, heading to the beach, or just trying to beat the heat, these easy watermelon drinks are here to keep you cool, hydrated, and happy.
Each recipe is simple, fuss-free, and made with fresh ingredients. Each recipe is very easy and uses very minimal ingredients so this will not follow my usual blog post format. I promise you, you can make this easily.
Iced Watermelon Coconut Refresher
This two-ingredient wonder is like a mini vacation for your taste buds. This was a recent favourite for me. The sweet coconut water and the watermelon makes as perfect combination. Who would think that these two are match made in heaven. No extra sugar added (that’s a plus) and only 2 ingredients. All you need is:
- Fresh blended watermelon
- Coconut Water – If you can find organic with less additives and sugar, that would be the best option
Just blend your watermelon until smooth. Add ice in the glass, pour chilled coconut water and pour the blended watermelon. The combo is naturally sweet, ultra-hydrating, and tastes like something you’d sip on a hammock or by the beach.

✨ Optional: Garnish with mint or a lime wedge for extra flair.

Pure Watermelon: One Ingredient, Zero Fuss
This one’s as simple as it gets. No sugar, no additives—just pure watermelon. I had been making this for years now and still I never get tired of it. Why would I be? I mean, 1 ingredient? How easy is that!
- Chop up fresh watermelon
- Blend until smooth
- Pour in a glass with ice and enjoy!
It’s naturally sweet, packed with antioxidants, and perfect for kids and adults alike. You can strain it if you prefer a smoother texture, but honestly, the pulp adds a nice rustic touch. Do not waste that fibre, take it all in and enjoy!

💡 Tip: Freeze it into ice cubes for a fun twist in sparkling water or lemonade.
Watermelon Yogurt Drink: Creamy, Tangy & Totally Satisfying
Looking for something a little more filling? This three-ingredient drink is a creamy dream. It might sound bit odd to blend watermelon with yogurt, but it works. It taste like a watermelon creamsicle.
- Fresh watermelon
- Plain Greek yogurt
- Sweetener of choice (honey, maple syrup, or agave)
Blend everything until smooth and serve chilled. It’s like a smoothie-meets-lassi with a watermelon twist. Great for breakfast, post-workout, or a midday pick-me-up.

🥄 Bonus: Add a pinch of cardamom or cinnamon for a subtle spice.
Watermelon Slushie: Freeze, Blend, Bliss
This one’s a game-changer on hot days—and it’s just one ingredient! When the weather hits almost 30C, it is time for slushie! Skip the store bought slushy that is loaded with artificial flavouring and food colouring.
- frozen and fresh chunks watermelon
- Blend until slushy
That’s it. No ice needed, no added sugar. It’s icy, refreshing, and tastes like summer in every spoonful. You can eat it with a spoon or sip it slowly through a straw. Make sure to use a combination of fresh watermelon. Blend the fresh watermelon first to help the frozen watermelon blend. Either that or add coconut water to help the watermelon blend. Either way, they’re delicious!

🌈 Want to jazz it up? Add a splash of lime juice or a few mint leaves before blending.
That’s about it. So which would you like to try? Try them all!
