City lights makes a huge of difference, it gives a different vibe and feel to the city. One of the activity I like to do when on vacation is to walk around the city at night, or revisit an atrraction at night. In my Chicago trip, I walked around downtown almost everynight and I visited The Crown Fontain, Buckingham Fountain, I also did a Night Architecture Tour and a visited Navy Pier. I have to say that night lights deffinitely made an impact on how different these attractions looks like at night, not to mention the vibe.

I’ve shared a separate post for my day time visit in Navy Pier in case you missed it. I have the video link at the featured posts. I went to Navy pier during the day twice during my visit. Althoug I am not a person who loves rides, Navy Pier was close to the downtown and Buckingham Fountain which gave me more time to spend there. I spent half the day just relaxing and eating while waiting for the sun to set so that I can visit Buckingham Fountain. It is about 35 minutes walk from Navy Pier and it was a very nice waterfront walk along the Lake Front Trail.

Navy Pier have few rides in the area, the Centennial Wheel being the most popular one and probably the icon and landmark of Navy Pier. I did not do any rides but if you have time, Centennial Wheel is a good choice to do. There are few more that are both adult and kids. There’s the Carousel (for kids), Drop Tower, Wave Swinger, Light Tower, Tea cup and cople of game rooms.
