My experience visiting Pleasant Point Park

I visited on a weekday and quite early so it was not busy and crowded. The weather has been really unpredictable and a day with a chance of sun is considered a luxury. The day I visited Point Pleasant Park was on of those days. It has been raining almost days before that and so when a sunny forecast shooed up for that day, I grabbed the opportunity to go out early.

Point Pleasant is about 35-45 minutes walk from my place, and 15 minutes bus ride. Since it was a nice day, I decided to go for a morning run instead. I waited for it to be bright and then I head out for my run.

It was an easy run, the direction going there is easy to follow. It was a quiet morning and even though it was sunny, I can still feel the chill in the air from the previous days of rain.

It was foggy when I got there, quiet and not a lot of people. It was a big park and they have points of interest to visit. I visited a few that are close by each other. The Prince of Whales Tower was my first stop, then I stopped in couple of other sites.

If you have spare time, this is a good place to visit but if you have limited time, I would not say this is a must place to visit. If you only have 1-2 days in Halifax, focus on the Downtown harbour area and do a day tip at Peggy’s Cove. I have a separate video for that, have a look.

What I cook when on vacation

It might sound unconventional, but really love making meals from time to time. Although trying new cuisine and food is really nice, I still miss home cooking. Luckily, the airbnb I stayed at is fully furnished and the kitchen was well equipped with what I need to cook simple easy meals. Since Halifax has quite an abundance of seafood, I cooked mostly Salmon and Cod dishes, with one day of cooking a steak for a change. It was great and I would definitely do this again given the chance.
