I had never been in a restaurant in 3 consecutive weeks, ordering the same thing and still loving it. It’s funny, I love their food so much I started giving my friends nickname based on their favourite orders. Of course, I got my own name too. Their dishes are amazing, just the kind of food I would choose whenever I want to eat grilled meat. If you are visiting Vancouver , or better yet, if you leave in Vancouver, give it a try, you will not regret it.  Let’s get started and take a look at our favourite orders.

Barg : Hello, my name is Barg. This is my all time favourite order. 1 skewer of tenderized beef steak, served with rice and grilled tomato.

Barg with Rice and Salad

I love everything about this dish. The steak is so tender, juicy and tasty. Every bite melts in your mouth. I always get the option of half salad and half rice.If you prefer full salad or full rice , you can do that too. I just find half and half is a better combination for me.It would not be the same eating this grilled meat without the rice, at the same time, the veggie balances the entire dish. The rice is perfect too, they use Basmati Rice, just what I would like to have for my grilled steak. The dish comes with grilled fresh tomatoes. The juice of the tomato is oozing once you started to cut it, I cannot have enough of it.Last but not the least, the picked Jalapeño sealed the deal for me. I always order extra on the side, and still ended up not having enough of it. I’ve tried quite a few of their dishes , the ones in the photos below. I love all of them. I am glad I have my friends to share it with me, I get to try a bit of everything. Their serving portion is huge and the price is reasonable, it’s worth a long walk for us. Read on and see what I have to say with the other dishes.

Soltani : 1 Skewer of Barg and 1 Skewer of Koobideh Served with Basmati Rice or Salad and Grilled Tomato

Soltani with Greek Salad

On our 2 visit, I had decided I wanted to try something new,but I cannot let go of Barg. See how I get so attached with my food? Soltani solves my problem. This is my Project Manager’s favourite. This dish is a combination of Barg and Koobideh.Koobideh is skewer of ground beef.I don’t normally order ground meat as I often find it bland in taste. This one is different, it’s very tasty , and juicy just like the Barg. Are you getting convince now? If not yet, keep reading to the next dish, Jujeh.

Jujeh: 1 Skewer of Chicken Kabab Served with Basmati Rice (Saffron) or Salad and Grilled Tomato

Jujeh with Rice and Salad

This is my Friends favourite. It’s boneless chicken skewer. She loved this so much that she started making similar one at home. I do understand her “addiction” to this dish, because when I had a piece, it taste amazing as well. It’s tender , soft and juicy like Barg and Koobideh, and it’s lighter because it is chicken pieces, with option of Rice and Salad or all Rice, All Salad.

It just keeps getting better. If you want to try some finger licking good and juicy to the bones Shishlik is your dish. It’s 6 pieces of lamb chops that are deliciously marinated and grilled to perfection.
