Today’s Quick & Easy Recipe

Today we’re making a snack item, something that you can nibble on, something that you can have to go, something that satisfies your sweet tooth craving, something delicious. Lately, Dates Energy Bites became my favorite sweet treat after meal. I was looking for a healthier snacking option for the days that I was trying to cut down my chocolate intake, and this is what I thought of.

It is sweet enough and it satisfies my sweet cravings. It is not chocolate but I was happy with it. This energy bites do not require any baking. Simply softened the dates and mix everything in a food processor. It is so thick and sticky that it holds together to form into a ball or bars. I kept mine in a disk size, 2 bite size I would say. You can also cut it into squares. Simply press the mixture on a 5-inch square pan then cut into squares.

If you want to make it decadent, you can also dip it in melted chocolate. I would suggest dark chocolate so that it balances the sweetness of the dates.
