[VIDEO] YouTube Shorts: 5 Ways to Use Croissant – Part 1

Who is not crazy about croissant, raise your hand? 🙂 If you are on the team “croissant crazy”, then keep scrolling to find easy ways to serve croissant. You will find both sweet and savoury options, although I think I have a lot more savoury here as I love croissant for breakfast. These are single serving ideas but can easily be made to big batch. I used large croissants for all these ideas but any size of croissant will work. But if given the choice, why go for small when you can have large croissant?

I will be releasing croissants series posts and each post will have 5 short videos included. All the videos are maximum 60 minutes. I consider this a no recipe post as you can easily make this by watching the video even without the detailed recipe list.

Mushroom Melt Croissant

My recent favourite is this mushroom melt croissant. Simply cut the croissant in half and top with cooked mushroom and tons of cheese. I used Jalapeno Cheddar Cheese with 42% moisture so it melts beautifully when baked. Bake at 350F for about 10- 15 minutes or until the cheese melts. Keep an eye as the croissant could get toasted easily. Rotate the pan as needed, or adjust the baking time. This for me is a simple breakfast that I do not mind having over and over again. Serve this with simple salad and fresh fruits on the side and you are good to start the morning right.

I had been consistently doing YouTube shorts for what meals that I eat in a day. Most of them are very easy meals that doesn’t even require a written recipe for you to be able to make it. If you watch the short video, you will have an idea how to make it, no recipe needed. They are very flexible and you can adjust and tweak it to your liking.

Sweet and Savory Jam and Egg Croissant Sandwich

This is one of the top 3 croissant posts that have more views in my channel. A simple croissant filled with brie cheese, jam and scrambled egg. Sweet and savoury when you cannot make up your mind which one you like.

I don’t normally create recipe post for them so they just sit in my YouTube channel. As I look at them, I thought why not share it with you. The videos are maximum 60 seconds only so this will not take a lot of your time, but in that short time, it will give you an idea on your meal preparation.

Cookie Dough Stuffed Croissant top with Ice Cream

Now we enter the world of croissant for dessert idea. This is a great quick dessert that will surely please your family and friends. You will need a cookie dough for this one, I made my own but you can buy ready to bake cookie dough too. If you do not want to make cookie dough or even buy it, then skip it. Simply slice the croissant and scoop your favourite ice cream on top, garnish with fruits and drizzle with melted chocolate. I used melted white chocolate because I used chocolate cookie dough and ice cream. Dark chocolate or semi sweet will work great with this one too.

The videos are mostly single serving dish but you can easily scale it up. Use the video as a guide and do as many as you wish. A lot of these meals require cooking more than baking so it is more forgiving. You can easily change it up to your liking.

Bake Overnight Chocolate Chip Croissant French Toast

A croissant French toast? You will never look at croissant the same way when you try this. Flakey croissant soaked in custard and stuffed with dark chocolate, and served warm with ice cream on top. How about that?

I will not be detailing the instructions for this meals. They are really very easy. Simply watch the video and the video will show you how to make it. If there are any special instructions, I’ll mention it but otherwise this is not going to be like my usual recipe post complete with ingredients list and instructions.

Turkey & Egg Croissant Sandwich

I have to make turkey and egg variation for a savoury option. You can use any cold cuts, the likes of ham, bacon sausage or even pepperoni. Start by cooking the scrambled egg then layering it with brie cheese and fresh basil. Fold and make the sandwich.

I am hoping that these short videos will be useful to you as it was to me 🙂 Let me know which ones you would like to try.

If you have any questions for any of them, ask away and I will try my best to get back to you as soon as I can.
