Explore Barcelona, Spain in 6 Days: My Trip

Hi Guys! Welcome to my Traveling Solo in Spain Series. This post is just the beginning of my exciting journey to 10 Days in the beautiful county of Spain. This series will cover every planning stages, from choosing the destination, the best time to visit, to attractions I visited in my selected cities, hotels I stayed, foods that I tried and some tips on what to do and what not to do when traveling in Spain. Each stages will have video whenever possible, in each videos I will try to show you Spain in the eyes of solo traveler like me. Getting lost and finding my way, and just having fun.

This post is a 6 days summary of my Barcelona & out of town trips from Barcelona. Barcelona was the first place I visited in Spain, this was my landing/entry place. There are so many places to visit in Spain and Barcelona is one of the top list for tourist. I did my research (as always) and so far I liked what I saw from people who have visited this place so I chose this to be the major one to visit in Spain. This was the longest stay in all the places I visited in Spain.

If you are subscibe to my blog, you already probably saw the Barcelona posts I had, consider this a summary fo all that. I find it easier to have a page where we can all see my adventure in Barcelona. These are the places I visited in a snapshot. Each of these have a post (with video) to give you a better feel of the place. If you have some time, have a look and let me know which ones interest you the most.

Best Time to Visit Barcelona

The best time to visit Barcelona is during the spring. I did my visit around October thats is almost Fall season. There are still a lot of crowds but but a bit more off season so booking prices were not as high during peak season. The only downside of going there during Fall is that you just have to hope that the weather will cooperate and will not rain. There was no heavy rain when I was there but there were days that were overcast so I always had to make sure to wear proper clothing and shoes if the weather changes. Always be preapred regardless of the season.

  1. Weather and Crowds:
    • Spring in Barcelona offers beautiful weather with temperatures ranging from the high 60s to 70s Fahrenheit.
    • It’s a delightful time for sightseeing, as the city isn’t too hot or crowded.
    • You’ll enjoy pleasant walks along the streets and beaches without the intense summer humidity.
  2. Cultural Events:
    • Spring brings forth a plethora of festivals and events that truly bring Barcelona to life.
    • As the heavy rainfall of spring subsides, the city’s greenery becomes lush and vibrant, with flowers in full bloom.
    • Primavera Sound, the world’s largest alternative/indie music festival, takes place in late May or early June, attracting like-minded travelers.
  3. May-June: The Perfect Window
    • May through June is the sweet spot:
      • Mild temperatures in the low-to-mid 70s.
      • Limited rainfall.
      • Perfect beach weather.
      • Festivals and events galore.
  4. Considerations:
    • Expect larger crowds and slightly higher travel costs during this popular time.
    • Flights and hotels may have increased rates, but the experience of ideal Barcelona weather is worth it.

Whatever season you decide to visit, just be prepared and enjoy the beauty and culture of Barcelona.
