In few days time, it will be Easter and so for me it is only fitting to share an Easter treat with you. You can make this recipe whether you are celebrating Eastern or not. It’s basically a chocolate coated pretzel with almond butter poured in the center and topped with Easter egg. So you see, you can make this even if it is not Easter. Swap the Easter egg with other chocolate toppings, like Reese mini peanut butter cookie, or mini kitkat or maybe a kisses! It’s an exciting recipe to make that you can easily customize for any occasion or for just everyday snacking dessert.
When I was growing up, celebrating Easter Sunday basically is just going to church and having a meal afterwards. I was not into egg hunting because I don’t recall having a lot of those activities way back then.
It is when I moved in Canada that I started making treats for almost every holiday or occasion. It’s always my excuse to make more treats for myself or for my friends.
Although not all my friends observe Easter, we still have the same thing in common, we all love eating, food and mini treats. So I use that as an excuse to make treats and at the same time celebrate the occasion.
For Easter, my go to are often Easter cookie like the one I shared few days ago or brownie. These two are very easy to customize for Easter theme, not to mention to mention very easy to make and most people like them.

From time to time, I love trying different ideas to make it fun and interesting. I’ve done quite a lot of Easter treats, bread is one that is a bit more time consuming but I really love making them.
Then there’s dessert that are even more easier than cookies and brownies, the like of no bake desserts like bark chocolates or those bite size no bake desserts.

Today, that is what we are making. A Bitesize Pretzel Chocolate Easter Egg Bites. They’re so cute, easy to make and quick to disappear from the table, and they are no bad treats.
We’re using store-bought Pretzel 🥨 cookies, melted chocolate, nut butter and choice of Easter Egg chocolates.
A Cookie Worth Cracking Into

The Magic of Small Batch
Baking in small batches is kind of like a secret superpower—fewer dishes, faster prep, and fewer leftovers (aka temptation). This recipe comes together in minutes, the longest wait is for the chocolate to solidify. You can easily upsize the portion for a larger batch without having to worry of any serious consequences. I always prefer small batch especially if I am just making it for myself as a treat. This is a definition of sweet, salty and crunch Bitesize dessert. Small in size, big in flavor.
Choose Your Chocolate Wisely
I always prefer using 70% dark chocolate for most of my desserts. For this one specifically, I like the balance of dark chocolate taste and the milk chocolate Easter egg. I use a plain 70 % dark chocolate, chop it and melt it to coat the pretzels. It is preference, so if you like milk chocolate more, then go for it.

No Bake, No Fuzz Easter Treat
Don’t let your busy schedule stop you from making Easter treats. I know that life could get busy, so the answer is not to discard the idea of making treats, but simply to find a simple treat hat fits your schedule. This treat is so easy you can even make this with your kids (if you happen to have one) or with friends as a fin afternoon activity.

Your Easter Egg, Your Choice
There are variety of Easter Eggs to choose from. The simple one like this, or the filled caramel egg, just to name a few. You have the flexibility to choose whichever you like. I find that a simple one like this works as I am already filling in the middle with nut butter but a Creme Egg will be nice too if you want to skip filling the center ❤️

Dark Chocolate or Semi-Sweet
It all boils down to preference. As I mentioned earlier, dark chocolate is my preference wore balance the sweetness of the Easter Egg. What I will not recommend is a white chocolate as it will be a bit too sweet, unless that’s how you like it.

What Pretzel to Use
I like using the heart shape pretzel because it has holes to sit the eggs. it just makes topping to easier and the topping sits perfectly. If you only have access to pretzel sticks, you can still use that. Simply arrange it side by side. I would guess about 5-6 sticks then pour chocolate on top then put another layer of sticks, You can make 2-3 layers then pour the melted chocolate on top and finish with toppings of choice.

Give Them a Try & Let Me Know How it Goes
If you happen to make this, I would like to know how it goes. If you happen to make other Easter treats, , share it as well, maybe that’s something I can make next time.

About This Recipe
- Ease in Making the Recipe: This is a no bake recipe, super easy and super fun to make. I like doing this at night so that I don’t count the minutes waiting for the chocolate to solidify. Leave it on the counter or the fridge and wake up with a treat waiting for you 🙂 Don’t have it for breakfast though 🙂
- Ingredients: 3 main ingredients is all you need. Pretzel, chocolate and Easter egg. The nut butter filling is optional but if you happen to have some, then go for it.
- Texture, Taste & Flavor: Sweet, salty, crunchy in one bite size treat. The pretzel gave a nice crunch, the chocolate definitely elevate the dessert and the Easter Egg .. that’s the extra treat which is the sweet crunchy part.
- Make-Ahead: Oh definitely! In fact, I prefer making this at night for serving the following day. They keep long in the refrigerator too so you can make extra for the next days to come.
