What is the best time to visit Halifax Public Garden

The Halifax Public Gardens are maintained and open from 8 am to dusk between April and November. If the gates are open, so are the gardens. Summer is the ideal time to visit when the park bursts with vibrant flowers and plants in bloom. As for the time, if you prefer a quiet time, early morning when it opens or later before it closes is the best time to choose.

My Visit at Halifax Public Garden

If you are looking for a free activity to do when in Halifax, stop by the Halifax Public Garden. The garden was not as big, but it was a nice place to walk around.

I was lucky enough that the place I stayed was close this garden. I passed by this garden every time I go to downtown. What I love about garden was that it has a lot of seating area around the park. There’s plenty ty of benches scattered where you can just relax. Even if there’s a lot of people in the park, you will still be able to find a spot to sit and it doesn’t feel too crowded.

They also have small cafe in the area where you can get pastry, hot and cold drinks and ice cream. Ice cream seems to be one thing that most places in Halifax have. Even the neighbourhood groceries have ice cream scooping stations. I had a scoop of ice cream in one of my visit and it was nice.

They also do free concerts or performances in the garden, check the schedule when you visit. There was none when I visited so I did not get to see one.

Overall, for a free place to visit, this is a good one to check. Enjoy!

What I cook when on vacation

It might sound unconventional, but really love making meals from time to time. Although trying new cuisine and food is really nice, I still miss home cooking. Luckily, the airbnb I stayed at is fully furnished and the kitchen was well equipped with what I need to cook simple easy meals. Since Halifax has quite an abundance of seafood, I cooked mostly Salmon and Cod dishes, with one day of cooking a steak for a change. It was great and I would definitely do this again given the chance.
