With the weather getting warmer and warmer everyday, I think we could all agree that we need something that will cool us off and keep us feeling refresh. Since it is Summer, I am making a seasonal post just for the Summer season. The post will mostly be about Summer drinks and frozen treats to keep us cool and comfy during the Summer season. If it is not Summer where you are right now, do not worry because you can always go back and search for these recipes whenever Summer arrives in your area or if you just want to get chilled. Some of the drinks that I am sharing here can be made any day of the year, I say bring the ice cream out on Winter 🙂

This drink was inspired by a Mango Mojito drink that I tried in an Indian Buffet restaurant. It was my first time to try this drink and I was curious about it. It seems to me that it is easy to make it at home and so I tried it. My instinct was right, it is indeed easy to make and best of all, budget friendly. This means I make make this as often as I want to without breaking my budget, and I can share it with my friends too. You can easily make this into a big batch recipe, just use this as a guide.
About This Recipe
- Ease in Making the Recipe: When I say this is easy to make, I mean really easy. You can make this in 10 minutes or less. The most that you will do here is to puree the Mango, the rest are just smashing and mixing.
- Ingredients: Typical Mojito ingredients, but without alcohol. If you want to add alcohol, feel free to do so. I have an allergy with alcohol so I will pass on that. Use fresh Mint please, there is no way that you can substitute it wit dried Mint. Fresh mint have stronger mint flavor, a strong fresh taste that complements the Mango and Lime. Now the Lime, can you use Lemon instead? Yes you can, but the taste will be different. Lime has a stronger citrus taste that works well with Mint. I suggest, stick to Lime. Mojito uses Club Soda, I used Sprite as I like the mild sweetness of it. You can use sparkling water too.
- Texture, Taste & Flavor: Very refreshing I would say. I love the combination of Mango, Mint and Lime in a drink.
- Make-Ahead: I would recommend making this when you are serving it so that the “spirit” of the soda is still prominent. You know how it goes, the longer the soda stay open, the spirit evaporates. This is such an easy recipe, make it the same day or few hrs before serving id. I suggest add the soda last when you are ready to serve it, then lots and lots of ice.

Ingredients for Non-Alchoholic Mango Mojito
- Mango – Use fresh, ripe and sweet Mango. If you want to shortcut the process, you can buy pureed Mango.
- Lime – to give the citrus taste. I only use 1 Lime, you can use 2 for a stronger citrus Lime flavor.
- Fresh Mint – It wouldn’t be the same without the fresh Mint.
- Liquid Sweeter – Any liquid sweetener will work. I used simple sugar syrup (video below), honey will work too. If using honey, I suggest add a bit of warm water to quickly dissolve it.
- Ice Cubes – I would say this is a MUST. Serving this Mojito iced cold is always the way to go. After all, we are making this to cool us off.
