7 Easy & Budget Friendly Homemade Iced Tea

We’ve just officially welcomed Summer and I cannot be more excited. Summer is my favorite season and probably most of us who live in British Columbia (BC), Canada. Some people joke around and call us “Raincouver” instead of Vancouver because we get more rain than snow. So when the temperature becomes double digit, we start to get excited when it reach 20+ and we start to complain when it hit past 25 :). We only have 3 months (or 4 if we get lucky) of warm weather and so we tend to make the most of it. In my case, outdoor activities like hiking, biking, gardening and making Summer cool treats and drinks are the things I look forward to during Summer.

I love doing outdoor activities, but when the weather hits past 25, I would either head to the waterfront, spread the blanket, lie down, read or listen to music and eat. When it gets 28 and above, I would rather stay and be cozy in my balcony and drink a cold tall glass of homemade fruit juices.

Summer is not complete without me making homemade Summer drinks and frozen treats. This is the time of the year that I go crazy making fruit juices, shakes, smoothies, slushie, ice tea and cold milk drinks. I thought I will start Summer by sharing with you some of my favorite Summer drinks. They are easy to make, budget friendly and refreshing without breaking your budget. So next time you think of buying ice tea outside, check out this post and be inspired to make it at home.

I want to start our Summer drinks inspirations with Homemade Ice Tea. Iced Tea is one popular Summer drinks that a lot of us buy at the cafe and drink stations. They are simple and easy to make, but they can get quite pricey when bought outside. Making your own iced tea at home and having it to go in a drinking bottle is a good way to save few bucks. I know that it may not seems a lot, but every penny we can save is a great help in our budget. You do not have to deprive yourself to that quench thirsting drinks just because you are in a budget. With homemade iced tea, you can drink more and still have more for the following day or to go with you. I have seven Iced Tea recipes that I would like to share with you. They are all easy to make, taste good and budget friendly, as promised.
