Summer is always better with fresh Mango. Mango is my favorite Summer fruit, more than watermelon, more than Papaya which I also love dearly. As soon as I see Mango in the market, I can’t help myself but buy a lot of it. I rarely buy a lot of fruits, but when it comes to Mango, more is welcome. Today I am sharing with you a quick recipe video on how to make Mango Lassi. It is smooth, creamy and absolutely delicious! This is one drink that I don’t mind making over and over again.
I wouldn’t categorize Mango Lassi as a refreshing drink, but more of a delicious drink that is almost like a smoothie. It’s thick and creamy consistency makes it a bit more filling than refreshing, like a dessert drink, that’s how I like to think of it.

Mango Lassi vs Smoothie
Although Mangi Lassi is almost like smoothie, there’s a bit of a difference between the two. Most smoothies uses frozen fruits to give it a colder feel and thicker texture. You could probably compare Mango Lassi to a thick but not icy type of smoothie. Mango Lassi do not use frozen ingredients like most smoothie do. It also have yogurt which gives it an even thicker and creamier texture.
Whipped Cream on Top, Yes Please!
You can serve and enjoy this as is, but there are few ways that you can level it up. Adding diced Mango; Greek yogurt or sprinkling of shredded coconut are just a few of them. However, to make it extra special, dolling up whipped cream is a great choice for a more indulgent Mango Lassi.

I’ve tried all these options and to which one is my favorite varies on my mood and what I like on the day I make it. You can tell that when I made this I was on a mood for a soft and fluffy whipped cream on top, good choice I would say. How about you? What do you feel like with your Mango Lassi?
