It seems Bagel Pizza is a thing so I have to try it. This is basically a Bagel topped with pizza toppings to make it look like a pizza. It’s a mind trick, if it looks like a pizza 🍕, then could taste like a pizza. Call it mini pizza, just don’t forget it is still a 🥯 Bagel. I find this Bagel Pizza interesting and fun to make. It is a change from my regular toasted bagel with cream cheese, and sometimes change is good.

Blogging my seem like an easy thing to do but in reality it takes a LOT of time to finish a single post. In my Take a Peek at the Behind The Scenes of Food Blogging, I shared with you my process when creating a post. Although it takes a lot of time, it gives me a lot of joy doing thing. Blogging keeps me sane 🙂 and help me balance my life between work and personal time. I love sharing recipes with you as well as my travel escapades. I had been busier lately with work and I started making my meals on the fly, you know whatever I have on hand. Something that I do not have to plan just like when creating a posts for the blog. I thought I would create a short post about this, not as elaborate as my full post but enough to give you idea on how you can make it at home. This will be easy and quick recipes that you can make in less than 30 minutes max or even 5 minutes less. We all need a short break from the kitchen, but that doesn’t mean we have to stop making delicious meals to nourish us.
Variations are Endless
I always love options and flexibility in a recipe. There are a lot of recipes that are very rigid and should be followed step by step, and there are recipes that are very flexible, like this one. I like the feeling of being able to apply some creativity in my dish without having to worry too much of how the end result will be. Recipes that are quite forgiving to changes are a game changer.
Making homemade pizza always makes me feels that way. I feel free to customize it to my preference without having to worry too much. Besides, with pizza, all you need is lots of cheese and everything else is just touch-up. Although we are not making a real pizza today, this recipe gives that same vibe of a pizza. It is basically a bagel, turned to look like a mini pizza and with the aim of tasting somewhat like pizza.

Mediterranean
I opted to make both variations vegetarian. I decided to do 2 of my favorite variations and Mediterranean is one of them. Basically, I used olives, sundried tomato, fresh Cherry Tomato and mix of spices. What I like about this variation is the sharp flavor of olive and sundried tomato, it adds a lot of depth in the flavor and taste.

Jalapeno and Cheese
I am not a surprised at all. Jalapeno ad cheese is almost a MUST in most of my bread recipes. I love spicy foods and I feel that cheese and jalapeno goes with together like a perfect pair. I used fresh Jalapeno and did not remove the seeds, I told you I love spicy foods 🙂 If you are not into spicy food, you can choose other toppings or use a picked jalapeno peers instead, they tend to be less spicy. What I like about this variation (aside from the heat) is that the cheese really shines here. It is almost like a cheese pizza which I always love.
There are a LOT of variations that you can make. From vegetarian or even vegan, or if you are a meat lover load it up with beef, chicken of combination of both. Use this recipe as a guide, but not something that will restrict you from bringing out your creativity. It is about what you like and what you enjoy eating, so dress as you please and ENJOY 🙂
Today’s Quick & Easy Recipe
If you are craving for a pizza and do not have time to make a real one, why not try this Bagel Pizza. It’s a Bagel topped with pizza toppings to make it look like a pizza. It’s more like a substitute for a quick pizza but of course do not expect a 100% pizza in every bite, it is a Bagel after all.
Just like when making pizza at home, you can use any toppings of your choice. Load it with meat, make it vegetarian or dive into the world of just cheese and more cheese. I made a Greek and 3 cheese for this recipe, I cannot wait to make different variations in the future. Pepperoni is the most famous variation as it makes the Bagel Pizza look like more mini pizza, but again, make any variation that you like. I prefer using block mozzarella cheese and grating it myself as it produces better texture and melting, plus it taste better than those pre-grated mozzarella cheese. I do not have anything against pre-grated. I used them from time to time but since I am saving a lot of time and pizza dough for this Bagel Pizza, I opted for a better quality cheese. It makes a huge difference, try it.

Ingredients:
- Bagel – any savory or plain Bagel
- Pizza Sauce
- Mozzarella Cheese, Cheddar Cheese, Feta Cheese
- Toppings of your choice
Instructions:
- Slice the Bagel in half and toast.
- Spread pizza sauce on top. Sprinkle cheese snd toppings of choice.
- Toast or bake until the cheese melts.
