[VIDEO] Beaucoup Bakery @Downtown Vancouver

There’s a lot of talk going about Beaucoup Bakery that recently opened in Downtown Vancouver. I’ve tried their products a long time ago but never got the chance to be at their site. I have to say at that time I still recall them as one of the bakery that have the best pastry (croissant). I had been wanting to go to their store but it was quite far from my work place so I never got the chance to do it.

Luckily, they opened a branch just below the Regis Hotel in downtown Vancouver. The location was great, it is easily accessible by public transportation.

The first time I went to visit them I wasn’t that lucky. They were temporarily closed for that day, of all the days it coincides on the day that I decided to visit them.

This time around, I made sure they are open. Let me take you around and show you the store, let’s have a look at the cakes and pastry and let’s taste some to make the visit worth it.

The Interior

The space was quite small but because I came in early on a Sunday, there were plenty of sitting available when I got there. They only have high chairs and side tables and some free standing tables for people who wants to eat standing.

What’s on the menu

They have variety of options for a quick breakfast, desserts and drinks. They have sweet and savory pastry, cookies, chocolates, ice cream and mouthwatering individual serving cakes .

I ordered the Ham and Cheese Roll for the savory item. It was good, the dough was flakey. I did not expect it though to be slightly sweet, but nonetheless I enjoyed it.

For the drinks, I got the London Fog Latte. Oh boy, it was a lot. A tall huge mug of latte 🙂 I like that it wasn’t too sweet and love the milk foam on top.

For the sweet endings, I tried the Hazelnut Dulcey Cake .. what can I say? It was great! It got a nice caramel toffee flavor and a nutty chewy base plus crunchy whole nuts inside and a soft and creamy mousse. It definitely taste as good as it looks.

They also have other items that you can take home, like coffee ground, honey, chips, chocolate bar, truffle mayo and more.
