It’s an easy, family-friendly hike that rewards you with an unforgettable view. In as little as 10 minutes walk, you get to witness a stunning falls up-close to you. Ready to explore? Let’s dive into everything you need to know!

Location
Bridal Veil Falls is nestled within Bridal Veil Falls Provincial Park, located in Rosedale, BC, just off the Trans-Canada Highway

How to get There
- By Car: From Vancouver, take Highway 1 East for about 1.5 hours. Exit at 135 (Agassiz/Harrison Hot Springs Road), then follow signs to the park
- By Public Transit: Unfortunately, there are no direct transit options, so driving is the best way to reach the falls

Hiking to the Falls
The 300-meter trail to the falls is short and easy, taking about 5-10 minutes to complete. It’s well-maintained, with a slight incline, making it accessible for most visitors. This was probably the shortest hike (if you can call it a hike) I did that gave me a stunning view only after 10 minutes of walking.

Best Time to Visit
- Spring & Summer: Lush greenery and strong water flow – I had visited this place both Spring and Summer. I like mid to late Spring when the weather is cool but not wet. The short walk is covered with the big lush trees making it a comfortable easy walk to the falls.
- Fall: Stunning autumn colors.
- Winter: The falls may freeze, creating a magical ice formation—but be cautious of slippery conditions

Picnic & Relaxation Areas
The park offers picnic tables, making it a great spot for a relaxing outdoor meal before or after your hike. They also have portable washrooms in the area if you cannot hold it until you get home.

Wildlife & Nature
The area is home to old-growth forests and unique moss species, some of which are found nowhere else in North America. The lush and big trees are trully beautiful, and with the water falls and the water going down the stream, it was a very nice peaceful walk in the woods.

Photography Tips
- Arrive early for soft morning light. – Morning is always the best time as the sunrays are not too strong to affect the photo. but then again, if sunrise is as early as 6:00AM, I would definitely pass on this. I did my visit around noon on a sunny Spring day and so far I was able to get good photos.
- Use a slow shutter speed to capture the silky waterfall effect. I had my DSLR with me but this is something that I forgot to do. I wished I remembered this as the low-shutter speed effect in a water falls is stunning.
- Frame your shot with the surrounding trees for a dramatic perspective.

Safety Tips
- Wear sturdy shoes—the trail can be slippery. Don’t go hiking wearing your nice heels please. Although it will only take 10 minutes to the water falls, a good comfortable rubber shoes if not hiking shoes is advisable.
- Stay behind designated barriers near the falls. Please, please obey the warning. I saw a lot of people who went climbing to get close to the foot of the water falls. This is dangerous and not worthy risking your safety for a cool photo at the top. The warning is set there for a reason.
- Be mindful of falling rocks or ice in colder months

Nearby Attractions
- Harrison Hot Springs (20 min away) – Perfect for a post-hike soak.
- Cheam Lake Wetlands – A peaceful nature reserve nearby.

I took a lot of photos but I do not want to overload this post. If you like to see more of the photos, have a look at my Facebook page.

Thank You for stopping by. Until my next adventure! Byeeee ❤️
