Adjust the spices, use whatever bread that suits the recipe, add more or less cheese as you like, add jalapeno or maybe not? What I am trying to say is, the choice is yours.

Cheese Overload Alert 🙂

I am telling you know that this uses a lot of cheese. If you want a less cheesy grilled cheese, simply cut down on the amount of cheese inside. I call this Inside and Out Grilled Cheese because there is cheese inside and out. To get the nice crunchy cheesy exterior, I sprinkled grated cheese outside. This makes the exterior crunchy and cheesy. If you want a traditional grilled cheese, you can skip adding cheese outside.

Today’s Quick & Easy Recipe

Grilled Cheese! But not just any regular grilled cheese. This grilled cheese if loaded with cheese inside and out. The outside is crunchy with toasted cheese spread on top, while the inside is oozing with cheese and sliced jalapeño peppers. I like my grilled cheese with slight kick of heat, but if you’d one, simply reduce the amount or completely skip it. It’s your grilled cheese after all, do as you please.

What makes this grilled cheese extra special? 3 things.

  • Inside out cheese
  • Tons of cheese 🧀 inside
  • Jalapeño peppers to give it a kick
Grilled Cheese

There’s nothing wrong with ordinary grilled cheese, as simple as they are, they are still delicious. But why settle for just ok grilled cheese when you can have amazing grilled cheese. All you need are few extra step and few more extra ingredients to take the grilled cheese to the next level, the amazing level.

To do that, let’s sprinkle some cheese outside the bread. Remember, inside and out grilled cheese. Butter one side of the bread so the cheese will have a medium to stick and not fall off when you flip it. That simple step is what will give you a crunchy exterior.

Now, don’t be stingy on the cheese. Add a good quality and generous amount of cheese inside too. That is what will make it oozing with cheese when you slice it.

For the kick of heat, add some sliced Jalapeño peppers. Just these simple additions and you are up for grilled cheese 🧀 worthy of all the praise.

Grilled Jalapeno and Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 2 sliced Bread
  • 75g mix grated cheddar and mozzarella cheese
  • 40g grated cheddar cheese
  • sliced fresh Jalapeno Pepper
  • pinch Garlic Powder

Instructions:

  1. Butter one side of each bread.
  2. In a heated pan, lay the sliced bread buttered side facing DOWN. Scatter 75g cheese on top, sprinkle garlic powder (optional) then add slice jalapeno peppers. Cover with the remaining slice bread, buttered side facing UP. Scatter 20g of grated cheddar cheese on top. Toast the bread for few minutes until the bottom has browned. Lightly lift to check the bottom of the bread. Once browned, flip the bread. Add the remaining 20g of grated cheese on top. Cover for 1 – 2 minutes to soften the cheese so it doesn’t fall off easily when flip. Lightly lift to check the bottom. Once the cheese has melted, flip the bread. Do the same and cook until the bottom has browned.
  3. Serve while hot to get the most of the melted oozing cheese.

This uses quite a lot of cheese, if you prefer less cheesy, just cut back on the amount of cheese.
